NW Clean is a cleaning company based in Zurich that has been offering high-quality cleaning services in the private and commercial sectors for many years. With our team of around 50 employees, we aim to provide reliable, cost-effective, and effective cleaning services in the city of Zurich and the immediate surrounding areas. In the following article, we would like to give you an interesting insight into our exciting company history and show you all the important milestones of NW Clean that have made it what it is today!

2023

The Company Takes the Step into Digitalization

In 2023, NW Clean GmbH from Zurich already has 45 full-time and part-time employees and is on its way to becoming a medium-sized company. With the digitalization of various business areas, NW Clean GmbH is now taking the step into the future. The company has implemented its own intranet for managing working hours, orders, and other business processes. At the same time, the processing of cleaning orders and the customer experience are also to be significantly improved. Self-developed tools are currently being programmed for this purpose and are set to revolutionize the process of cleaning services in the future!

2021

NW Clean becomes independent and restructures its administration

One year later, in 2021, NW Clean has grown so much that its current structures are no longer sufficient to support further successful growth. Therefore, the company decides to restructure and rename itself - NW Clean Nico Weber becomes the new NW Clean GmbH.

Almost simultaneously, the new NW Clean GmbH integrates its own human resources department and administration, and hires its first two new administrative employees and executives.

And other exciting things happen in 2021: the brand new NW Clean GmbH moves two floors up in the same office building at Limmatquai 94 in the Zurich district of Hochschulen. The company now has larger office spaces available for further growth.

2020

NW Clean leaves its home territory

Zurich alone soon became too small for the up-and-coming cleaning company called NW Clean, which is why the company expanded its catchment area to the surrounding communities of Zurich. From then on, NW Clean's high-quality cleaning services were also available in Meilen, Dübendorf and Rümlang, for example.

But NW Clean is unlikely to stop there. The company plans to offer its services in other cantons in the future. And who knows, maybe you'll soon meet NW Clean's hardworking, reliable and competent employees at the Jungfraujoch?

2017

A new milestone was reached with 10 employees

In 2017, the NW Clean company already had 10 employees and continued to grow from there. The managing director, Nico Weber, was still actively involved in the daily operations of NW Clean and even personally provided extensive cleaning services on site until 2017. From the beginning, it was important to Weber to be a good role model for his employees, which is why he still enjoys getting his hands dirty today.

Furthermore, between 2014 and 2017, NW Clean expanded its service area even further and was already active in all 12 districts of Zurich (Wollishofen, Leimbach, Fluntern, Hottingen, Unterstrass, Oerlikon, Seefeld, Albisrieden, Hirslanden, Affoltern, and Seebach). Thus, the previously locally operating cleaning company NW Clean had become a company operating throughout the entire Zurich metropolitan area - and there was still no end in sight.

2014

The company is growing at a healthy pace and gaining valuable experience

Around three years after its founding in 2014, NW Clean was already growing at an increasingly faster pace, but at a healthy rate. This was mainly reflected in the fact that the company hired more employees and secured larger cleaning contracts. NW Clean was already offering its services not only in the Zurich city center, but also in the surrounding neighborhoods.

At the same time, NW Clean gained valuable experience in carrying out various cleaning contracts and continued to improve the range of services offered. Highly specialized cleaning services for hospitals or other medical facilities were added. The selection of cleaning agents used was also significantly expanded. NW Clean was on its way to becoming a well-established cleaning company in Zurich, having left behind the turbulent early years and striving for growth.

2012

The first year was successfully completed and a second employee joined

In 2012, NW Clean celebrated its first company anniversary, as the company had successfully completed its first year. And it was already growing! In early 2012, the company hired its second employee. From then on, business founder and leader Nico Weber and his two employees were working together in Zurich, providing cleanliness, hygiene, and a comfortable environment for private and commercial customers.

The initial customers were primarily commercial clients who entrusted NW Clean with the cleaning of their offices and practices. However, more and more commercial customers such as service companies, industrial and craft businesses, and public institutions were added. From now on, NW Clean provided expert maintenance cleaning in various objects for these clients. The customer base was initially limited to the Zurich city center.

2011

Company founded by Nico Weber in Zurich

NW Clean was founded in Zurich in 2011 by Nico Weber, the current CEO and founder, whose initials "NW" were used in the company name. The company was established in April of that year, when Weber, a former AHT employee of the city of Zurich, decided to take the leap into entrepreneurship. In the first few months, he was supported by one employee who worked alongside him at NW Clean.
